PwC India Launches Mentorship programme for 15 AI & Blockchain Startups

PwC has given the announcement about the introduction of its very first startup accelerator program, the 'Emerging Tech Startup Challenge', to provide assistance to startups in the emerging technology field to develop their solutions and strengthen their market penetration. The accelerator program aims at driving innovation and supporting a vibrant startup ecosystem in India by being able to provide mentorship, consulting expertise, and strategic guidance.

Launching the programme, the Emerging Tech Startup Challenge is open to India-based start-ups working in the various realms of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, blockchain/Web 3.0, space technology, Industry 4.0, and spatial reality, among others, claims PwC India.

"Innovations across B2B/B2C will excite us, covering sectors such as retail and consumer, manufacturing, financial services, infrastructure, healthcare, and telecom," PwC India said.

In three months, 15 selected startups will benefit from access to mentorship by subject matter experts and 25 hours of pro-bono consulting services in areas critical to startups, namely: management, technology, go-to-market strategies, valuation, funding, and taxation.

A hybrid format, partly online and partly in-person, will prevent geographical boundaries from hindering participation, enabling a completely diverse set of companies to utilize the resources and support available.

Sanjeev Krishna, chairperson of PwC India said: "We are building a dynamic and sustainable technology ecosystem in India by empowering emerging technology start-ups and equipping them with the means to survive and thrive."

The Accelerator Programme will have a custom-made curriculum that includes workshops, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and demo days.

Moreover, start-ups will have access to PwC's network of industry experts and advisors-first of all, to hone their value proposition and gain further insight towards their ambition for growth.
