Preparation Tips and Strategy for SBI PO - 2021

SBI PO exam is conducted every year in 3 phases consisting of Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam along with GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview).
Phase 1- SBI PO Preliminary Exam
This phase of the exam consists of 100 questions of 1 mark with the composite time of 1 hour. It consists of 3 sections which are mentioned below.

As the assigned time is very less, each candidate needs to give their best. With proper time management and picking the right question is the key to success, as only after qualifying this phase the candidate will be called for phase-2 exam.
Phase 2- SBI PO Main
This phase consists of objective test and descriptive test. The Objective Test consists of 200 questions of 1 mark each in the composite time of 2 hours

Similarly, the Descriptive Test is of 1 hour duration with 50 marks questions. This phase tests the basic knowledge of the candidates along with their writing skills of English as a language consisting of questions like Essay and Letter writing. It will immediately begin after the completion of Objective type test.
Only on clearing the individual cut-off of both these tests and combined cut-off, the candidates will be invited for Phase-3 of the exam.

Final merit will be based on total marks of Phase 2 and Phase 3 in the ratio of 70:30 respectively. In this section the group discussion will be of 20 marks and the personal interview will be consisting of 30 marks. In the group discussion a panel of qualified students will be provided with a specific topic to express their views on and based on their interaction skills they will be awarded with marks. Similarly the next round will be of personal interview in which each candidates will be judged as per their qualifications and answers to various questions asked by the panel.
