PNB Undertakes Initiative to Promote STEM Education via Digital Shaala Project

PNB Housing’s CSR arm, Pehel Foundation, in partnership with Muskaan Dreams, has launched the Digital Shaala Project, an innovative initiative to advance STEM education and integrate technology into classrooms. This project aligns with the New Education Policy (NEP 2020), focusing on Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability, and Accountability. Targeting students in grades 5-8, Digital Shaala is designed to enrich learning experiences while equipping teachers with essential digital skills and fostering future-ready classrooms.

The project will impact over 6,500 students and 200 teachers across 20 government schools in Bhopal and Indore. Classrooms are being modernized with e-learning platforms, high-speed internet, and preloaded offline academic content tailored to subjects and grade levels. By promoting blended learning, Digital Shaala enhances students’ conceptual understanding and empowers teachers to adopt digital pedagogies, creating engaging and impactful educational experiences.

Mr. Girish Kousgi, MD & CEO of PNB Housing Finance, remarked, “Education is the cornerstone of progress, and technology is the bridge to a brighter future. Through the Digital Shaala Project, we are not just transforming classrooms but also shaping the future of thousands of students by empowering them with digital learning opportunities. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity in education, accelerated by the developments in a digital era.”

Mr. Abhishek Dubey, Founder & CEO of Muskaan Dreams, highlighted the importance of teacher empowerment, stating, “Digital Shaala is aimed at equipping teachers with the technology and tools they need to integrate digital solutions into their teaching practices. In partnership with PNB Housing, this program enhances tech adoption and improves both learning outcomes and the overall experience for students. By bridging the gap between traditional and modern education, Digital Shaala prepares students for a rapidly evolving, tech-driven world.”

Adding to the discussion, Mrs. Sushma Vaishya, District Education Officer (DEO), emphasized the transformative role of digital education in schools, highlighting its potential to positively impact teaching and learning processes.

The Digital Shaala Project stands as a testament to the transformative power of technology in education, paving the way for a more inclusive, innovative, and future-ready generation.
