NRDC and IIT Roorkee Parternup to Endorse Tech Development

IIT Roorkee has entered into a partnership with the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) to promote innovation and technology transfer. IIT Roorkee has joined hands with the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology to jointly support technological development.

According to a press release from IIT Roorkee, the institute has entered into a partnership with the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) to promote innovation and technology transfer.

This collaboration should accelerate the transfer of technology from IIT Roorkeel to the world market. “IIT Roorkee is at the forefront of transforming India into a global manufacturing hub to boost the economy. Colleges (universities) like ours play a leading role in developing intellectual property and promoting new ideas. Effective transfer of technology is crucial to reach global markets. Our partnership with NRDC reflects our commitment to this vision with the support of NRDC and extensive global accessibility networks; said Prof. K K Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee.

According to IIT Roorkee, the aim of this partnership is to combine the strengths and expertise of the institute and NRDC, which will facilitate the access of the technologies developed at the institute to the global market. The aim is to support India's vision of economic self-sufficiency and the central role of intellectual property in shaping the country and its future.

NRDC also provides funding and grants to support the commercialization of technology, and these efforts are made possible through these types of collaborations to a wider range of inventors. With these advanced Technology Ready Level (TRL) technologies, India's economy can be improved and socio-economic benefits can be achieved through such joint efforts,” said Cmde Amit Rastogi, President and CEO of NRDC.
