Major Scholarship Programs to Apply in the Month of October-November
The importance of scholarship programs in the life of students have always been significant. Apart from monetary assistance, good scholarships instil a sense achievement in the students and encourage them to move ahead. Apart from opening up the future career path for students, a decent scholarship program allows them to study a certain course or programme with reduced fees. As the necessity of good scholarships have increased post-covid, the economic assistance can help numerous parents and individuals who have lost their jobs during this time and are struggling to take care of their children’s educational amenities.
We have curated a list of few scholarship programmes which can be applied to in October and November, 2021.
1. BYPL SASHAKT Scholarship 2021-22
BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) is a scholarship programs for the students studying in a government institute of Delhi. Irrespective of the stream, only the final year students of undergraduate programme are eligible for this scholarship. The notion of the scholarship is to support higher education of commendable students who belong to the deprived sections of society. The Indian students residing in Delhi only are eligible for the scholarship. Apart from that, it is necessary that the applicants must also be studying in the final year of their respective undergraduate programme in a certified government institute in Delhi. Amongst, the other criteria, they must have scored more than 55% marks in their previous examination and the annual family income of such candidates must not be exceeding INR 6,00,000 (6 lakh) from overall sources. The overall prize money is up to INR 30,000 and as the scholarship only accepts online mode application, the last date to apply is by 14th November, 2021.
2. Ciné Impact Film Fellowship 2021
An exclusive initiative of the Hyphen in association with India CSR, the main goal of Ciné Impact Film Fellowship 2021 is to recognize and nurture the budding talents from the next generation of filmmakers. Under this fellowship, filmmakers below 25 years of age who intend to become independent storytellers on social issues, will be bestowed with guidance, handholding, and funding for making documentaries. Indian nationals who are below 25 years of age are eligible for this Fellowship program. With rewards comprising of Filmmaking grant up to INR 1,00,000 and Cash prizes worth INR 1,00,000, the selected candidates will also be awarded with Filmmaking Bootcamp and mentorship. This fellowship program only accepts online applications and the last date to apply is 15th October.
3. NSP Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship 2021-22
A unique initiative for Class 12 passed students who are studying in college/university, the NSP Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship intends to support praiseworthy students from financially weaker sections by rewarding them with financial assistance for their day-to-day expenses during the pursue of their higher studies. The candidates who have scored more than the 80th percentile in Class 12 or equivalent of respective state examination boards, or the candidates amidst a regular course such as Medical and Engineering in an educational institution affiliated by AICTE, Dental Council of India (DCI), Medical Council of India (MCI), and other respective regulatory authorities. To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must not be accepting any other scholarships and the overall annual family income should be less than INR 8 lakh from all sources. With prize money of up to INR 10,000 to INR 20,000 per annum, the online mode of scholarship is valid till 30th December.
4. Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship 2021-22
The students studying in Class 6 to 12, in general and professional courses such as polytechnic, diploma, and undergraduate, are eligible for the Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship programs. Intending to support commendable students belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society, the scholarship is valid for Indian nationals only. The applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination and in the Class 6 to 10 category, only students who have lost their parent/ parents/ earning members of the family because of coronavirus are eligible. The yearly family income of the applying candidates must not surpass INR 4,00,000 (4 lakh) from all sources. Up to 80% of the tuition fees of the candidates will be awarded by the Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship program. Accepting online applications only, the last valid date to apply for this scholarship program is 15th of October.
