The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Board of Professional Entrance Exam (JKBOPEE) has announced that registration for the JK CET 2023 for bachelor's degree programmes in engineering and technology will reopen on May 27. The registration deadline for the JK CET exam 2023 is June 5. All interested and eligible candidates can register online for JK CET 2023 at jkbopee.gov.in, the official website of JKBOPEE.

Only candidates who are residents of the Union Territories (UT) of J&K or Ladakh are eligible to apply for the JK CET 2023 admission process. The application fee for the JK CET 2023 will be Rs 1,000, which must be paid online via net banking or debit and credit cards.

Eligibility for JK CET 2023:

Candidates who wish to apply for JK CET 2023 are required to fulfill the following criteria.

Domicile of UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh or have ST certificate issued by the competent authority of Ladakh

Have passed 10+2 from recognised boards of education with following subjects: physics, chemistry and maths

Have secured 45% in qualifying examination for open merit category candidates including the children of defence personnel, children of paramilitary force, children of J&K police personnel,

TFW and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in sports

OR have secured 40% in qualifying exam for reserved category, that is, SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/OSC/PSP

JK CET 2023 is conducted for admission to the bachelor of engineering and technology courses-2023 in government, private colleges and institutions of the UT of JK. As per the official notification on JKBOPEE, if the board decides not to conduct JK CET 2023, the eligible and interested candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks secured by them in the qualifying examination, that is, 10+2.
