JEE Advance To Commence On June 4 With Registrations Starting From April 30, 2023
Today, IIT Guwahati announced the registration dates for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023. The exam begins on April 30, 2023 and concludes on May 4, 2023. The examination will get conducted on June 4. The candidates are requested to register on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced Paper 1 will be from 9 am to 12 pm and paper 2 will be from 2:30 pm to 5:50 pm. The result declaration and final answer key will get published on June 18 at 10 am. The registration will open from 10 am of April 30, 2023 till 5 pm of May 4, 2023. Last date for fee submission by registered candidates will be May 5, 2023. Admit Card available for downloading from May 29 at 10 am to June 4 at 2:30 pm PwD candidates can choose their scribe on June 3, 2023.
Candidate response key will be available on June 9 at 5 pm. The provisional answer key will be published on June 11 at 10 am, challenges to the answer key can be raised from June 11 at 10 am till June 12 till 5 pm. JoSAA counselling will tentatively begin from 5 pm of June 19.
The online registration for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2023 will begin from June 18 at 10 am to June 19 at 5 pm. The AAT will be conducted on June 21 from 9 am to 12 pm. AAT 2023 results will be declared in June 25, 2023 at 5 pm.
For applying for JEE Advanced, candidates must be in the top 2,50,000 (including all categories) of JEE (Main) 2023 BE, BTech paper. The percentage of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are— 10 per cent for General EWS, 27 per cent for OBC NCL, 15 per cent for SC, 7.5 per cent for ST and the remaining 40.5 per cent is open for all. Within each category, 5 per cent is reserved for PwD candidates.
Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates. A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Any candidate who has earlier admitted to an IIT will not be eligible.

Any candidate appearing for the exam should have appeared for the class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2022 or 2023 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Students who appeared for class 12 in 2021 or earlier are not eligible to apply. However, if the examination Board of Class XII (or equivalent) declared the results for the academic year 2020-21 on or after October 25, 2021, then the candidates of that Board who appeared for their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2021 are also eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2023.
The fee for registration of female candidates in all categories and SC, ST and PwD candidates is Rs 1450. For rest of candidates, the registration fee is Rs 2900. For foreign nationals including PIO and OCI and candidates residing in SAARC countries the fee is $90, for candidates residing in non-SAARC countries, the fee is $180.
