Japan Science & Tech Agency Invites Indian Institutions To Projects
The Japanese government, through its national research and development arm Japan Science & Technology (JST) Agency, is allowing Indian school, college, and university students to exchange knowledge with their Japanese counterparts through short-term visits to Japan. This is a fully sponsored Japanese government initiative for Indian students aged 12 to 40.
Top educationists, including chairmen, principals, and deans from 15 institutions in South Indian states Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Pondicherry, visited the JST Agency office in Tokyo for the first time. They also visited colleges, schools, and universities in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, where they engaged with students, staff, and management, according to ACN.
JST thoroughly undertakes numerous initiatives in conjunction with universities, research institutions, and enterprises in Japan and abroad to promote science and technology and provide solutions to societal challenges. The First World Community (FWC) and KCCS collaborated to arrange the Indo Japan Educational Tour to Japan. The FWC, founded and directed by Dr. CK Ashok Kumar, is a networking NPO based in Chennai. It also has an Osaka Chapter, which opened in September this year in Moriguchi, Osaka, and is led by Yumoto san.
During their visit to Japan, the delegation members representing educational institutes with a combined student body of over two lakh seemed enthusiastic when talking with their Japanese counterparts.
Japan's shrinking population, increasing aging society, and decreasing youth power will pose many challenges to the government, so Japan will face a shortage of highly skilled and talented Indian intellectual youth in the future, so this platform was created as a channel for exposure and interest to be created.
