India offers quality education at a lower cost than Western institutes

President Droupadi Murmu stated that India offers high-quality education to a growing number of students from Africa, such as those from Algeria, at a much lower cost than Western institutions. While receiving an Honorary Doctorate in Political Science from the Scientific and Technological Hub at Martyr Ihaddaden Abdelhafid University of Algeria, she was praised for her dedicated support for science and education among various social classes in India.

The President was grateful for the recognition of her efforts to promote educational access and empowerment, stating that the honor was more for India than for herself.

While on her trip to Algeria as part of her tour of three nations, President Murmu highlighted India's commitment to offering affordable high-quality education to students from Africa, including those in Algeria.

She noted, "India provides quality education at a fraction of the cost of Western institutions to ever increasing number of students from Africa, including from Algeria." The President also highlighted various scholarships and fellowships that India offers to African students, inviting Algeria's educational institutions, government departments, and youth to take advantage of these opportunities.

President Murmu seized the chance to contemplate the deep historical connection between India and Algeria, which dates back to Algeria's fight for independence.
