In Details - NEET 2023 Exam Date, Notification, Pattern, Syllabus, Best Books for Preparation

NEET 2023 exam is anticipated to be on the calendar of July 2023 as per National Testing Agency (NTA) expectations. NEET 2023 notification is expected to be released in the first week of April 2023 and students can get relevant information from neet.nta.nic.in. NEET 2023 application form is to be released with the official notification. Those who are 17 years old or will be completing 17 years of age before December 31st, 2023 can apply for the examination. There is no upper limit of age for NEET 2023.  

According to NEET Examination Pattern, there are 200 MCQs and from that 180 have to be attempted in 200 minutes. The syllabus is according to the division into four subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Biology which is divided Zoology, and Botany. Sections of four divisions include 50 questions, 35 from section A and 15 from Section B, and out of 15 questions from Section B, candidates have to attempt 10 questions.  

Almost more than 15 Lakh candidates opt for the NEET exam every year, therefore, the competition is extreme. NEET 2023 aspirants can find the previous year's examination papers and check the difficulty prompted in the previous year's examinations.  

Alongside the results, NEET Cut off marks are released by NTA, and students are called for counseling based on the marks and AIR. Each question will carry four marks in NEET 2023 and a negative marking of 1 for every wrong answer. Unattempted questions curate no negative or positive marking. The total mark is 720. The exam duration is three hours and twenty minutes. No sectional time limit is there in the NEET exam.  

NEET 2023 is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and nursing courses offered by the medical colleges in India.  

NEET 2023 application form is going to be released online mode on the official website of neet.nta.nic.in. NEET 2023 registration process will be starting from the first week of April 2023 as per tentative dates by NEET.  

National Testing Agency (NTA) specifies the NEET 2023 eligibility criteria for all medical aspirants. Aspirants appearing for the medical entrance test for the 2023 session should know every detail of NEET eligibility criteria. As per the latest update, the health ministry has removed the upper age limit for NEET 2023 eligibility criteria. The NEET-UG 2023 registration started. Aspirants fulfilling the eligibility criteria can fill the NEET form till the last date.  

NEET eligibility criteria 2023 are the set of parameters that the candidates must have fulfilled before applying for the entrance test. The eligibility criteria of NEET 2023 specify the conditions and guidelines related to the qualifying exam, pass percentage required for the NEET exam, nationality, limit of the age to apply, number of maximum attempts, and more. The students must have completed a secondary examination or international board examination which is recognized and equivalent to a 10+2 examination. Subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and any other elective subjects with English. Minimum marks in 12th for NEET 2023 are 50 percent marks for the general category, 40 percent marks for SC/ST/OBC, 45 percent marks for general physical handicap, and 40 percent marks for SC/ST/OBC-PH in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.  

NEET 2023 application fee can be paid online through UPI App/Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking/E-wallet. Aspirants must fill NEET 2023 application form carefully and avoid any mistake which can get their candidature canceled. NTA provides NEET Form Correction facility for 2-3 days to edit for a few details only.

Candidates can find the steps for NEET 2023 application form filling below:  

  1. Generate Login Credentials – Visit the official NEET NTA site and check the New Registration tab. Fill in the details such as email, name, contact number, and DOB and submit the form. Once completed, aspirants will receive the login credentials ID and Password in the registered email id.  

  1. Fill out NEET 2023 Application Form – After completing registration, aspirants must log in and fill out the NEET 2023 application form. Steps include filling in the personal details, selecting of examination center, medium of paper, and updating the academic details.  

  1. Uploading Documents – Upload documents in JPG and PDF which include Passport Size Photograph (10 to 200 kb), Signature (4 to 30 kb), Left-hand and Right-hand impression (10 to 200 kb), Class X Passing Certificate, Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, etc), PwBD certificate (50 to 300 kb) and Citizenship certificate/Embassy certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship certificate (50 to 300 kb).  

  1. Payment of NEET Application Fee – After completion of the steps, aspirants are required to pay NEET Application fee online via UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet.   

Exam Pattern NEET 2023  

As per NEET 2023 Examination Pattern, the question paper consists of 200 questions out of which candidates must attempt 180 questions. Medium of NEET 2023 includes Hindi, English, Odia, Assamese, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Urdu.  

Examination mode is the pen-paper mode at 500+ test cities in India and is expected to be conducted in 14 examination abroad cities.
