Imperial College London Offering Scholarships for Indian Students
The prestigious Imperial College London has recently unveiled a remarkable initiative known as 'The Future Leaders Scholarship' program. This exceptional undertaking aims to provide substantial support to 30 talented master's students from India within the coming three years. Imperial's latest funding commitment for Indian students is deemed as their most significant programme to date.
In order to cultivate the unrestricted potential of upcoming science leaders, the fund intends to provide financing for an equal representation of both male and female scholars. In April, the visit to Imperial's campus by India's Minister of Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, marked the beginning of the Future Leaders scholarship programme.
Imperial has recently introduced the Future Leaders scholarship programme and, in addition to that, has forged a fresh alliance with the UK Government’s Chevening Scholarships programme. This collaboration aims to offer financial aid to three more master’s scholars from India in the upcoming triennial period. If you have applied to study at Imperial and get accepted by 11 May 2024, you will automatically be considered for the Future Leaders Scholarship. The deadline to submit applications for the Imperial College London-Chevening Scholarship for this year will be on 7 November 2023.
Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India, expressed his delight at Imperial College London's investment in young Indian talent, particularly women in science. Both the UK and India have a distinct advantage in collaborating and utilizing the potential of science and technology to address global challenges.
