IITK and Citadel Join Hands to Innovate AI and Computing Research
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) and Citadel Securities have collaborated to establish the “Translational and Transformative Training and Investigations Lab” (T3i Lab) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IITK. The initiative aims to enhance research and innovation in computing and artificial intelligence, supported by Citadel Securities' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grant.
Discussing the advancement, IIT Kanpur Director, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, said, “This advanced lab will enhance our research capabilities, allowing our students and faculty to explore impactful solutions. We are grateful for this partnership with Citadel Securities.”
The T3i Lab will focus on High-Performance Computing, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, and Translational AI. Students and researchers will gain access to high-performance Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), an expensive and scarce resource in India, facilitating cutting-edge research. The laboratory will explore advancements in computer architecture design and hardware security, supporting IIT Kanpur in its quest for cutting-edge technological solutions.
