IIT Roorkee Hosts All IITs International Relations Conclave
The IR Conclave, an influential platform for all IITs, is committed to promoting discussions on the internationalization of higher education at IITs
The IR Conclave 2023 was a significant event that gathered various stakeholders to discuss the complex challenges of international education collaboration. The platform allowed thought leaders, experts, and academia representatives to have in-depth conversations about internationalization strategies within the Indian Institute of Technology system.
The purpose of this event was to promote collaboration, share knowledge, and collectively brainstorms on important matters related to internationalizing higher education.
The first session of the event was graced by a distinguished panel of dignitaries, including Professor K K Pant (Director, IIT Roorkee), Dr S K Varshney (International Cooperation, Department of Science and Technology), Professor Nitin Seth (Director, Indo-French Centre for Promotion of Advanced Research - IFCPAR / CEFIPRA), Dr B Chandrasekar (Executive Director, Corporate Planning, EdCIL (India) Limited, a Mini Ratna Category 1 CPSE), Professor V C Srivastava (Dean, International Relations), and Professor Ankit Agarwal (Organising Secretary, IR Conclave).
Professor K K Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, emphasized the significance of collaboration between different IITs and the need to strengthen ties between new and old generation IITs in order to address the research and development challenges of today. Professor Pant emphasized the importance of events like the 'All IIT Conclave' as a space for meaningful conversations about sharing knowledge and experiences, as well as creating strategies for academic and research collaboration.
