IIT Madras Launches Career Guidance Center

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has established a new Center for Career Counseling Services at its institute to integrate all internship, placement and career development activities for students. The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) run by students of IIT Madras has also been integrated in it.

By creating the career center, the institute aims to create a unified platform that helps students with different career paths. A statement from IIT Madras said this initiative is an important step in equipping students with the opportunities, tools and skills they need to succeed in an ever-evolving professional environment.

The purpose of the career path is to give students the opportunity to orient themselves and decide on their career. It aims to provide students with knowledge, relevant skills and exposure to the business environment, all in one institution. The Office of Internships and Internships helps students connect with companies to explore potential career opportunities.

The Career Development Cell provides soft skills training to complement academic readiness and the Entrepreneurship Unit acts as a testing ground for students to explore self-employment opportunities.

Through the new center, students will benefit from a well-rounded education, networking, entrepreneurship and improved employability. The main tasks of the newly established career center are to professionally equip students through skill development, improve the entrepreneurial efforts of the potential student fraternity and hire students for internships of recruiters.
