IIT Jodhpur, KRI Trust Partners for BTech Career Guidance Programme

The Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has joined up with the KRI Trust to launch a comprehensive "Career Guidance and Career Assessment programme" for aspiring engineers.

This programme, which will be started on June 29, 2023, intends to steer students in the appropriate way so that they can thrive in their chosen sector. Recognising the need of tailored counselling, IIT Jodhpur will integrate individualised career guidance modules into the curriculum for all students, including BTech students, in conjunction with the KRI Trust.

The primary goal of this programme is to assist students in identifying their abilities, interests, and objectives, as well as to provide them with the skills needed to become successful professionals in the future. The workshop will address a variety of topics, including career counselling, career assessment, job opportunities, developing career competences, and cultivating entrepreneurial aptitude.

Professor Santanu Chaudhury, Director of IIT Jodhpur, stated on this occasion,

"Learning does not happen by chance; it must be pursued with zeal and diligence." We at IIT Jodhpur think that a student must be empowered to establish his or her own talents and objectives in order to be distinguished and capable of dealing with disruptive changes in the profession.

This course, in cooperation with KRI, an IIT alumni effort, will strengthen students' intrinsic skills to pursue their aspirations, inspiring them to thrive in their careers outside the bounds of IIT."

This is a first-of-its-kind programme to address student dropout issues and focus their hopes and dreams in the proper way. The workshops will be launched by the Career Development Centre at IIT Jodhpur.

The upcoming batch of 2023 will be the first beneficiaries of this unique programme and the sessions will help the students to open up opportunities for them in line with their interests and passion thereby creating a safe, vibrant, and conducive atmosphere for the overall growth of the students.
