IIT Delhi organized the second "Transformative Leadership in STEMM (TLS) Workshop," an annual national mentoring initiative for advanced-stage Ph.D. scholars from the SC/ST community.

The three-day event featured select attendees from the prior group of the workshop. The TLS workshop is collaboratively organized by the Initiative for Caste Equity (ICE), the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI), and the SC/ST Cell at IIT Delhi.

The program aimed to motivate and support Ph.D. scholars from the SC/ST community to apply for faculty roles at esteemed institutions such as IITs, NITs, and other higher educational institutions (HEIs).

The most recent workshop concentrated on the domains of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, and Biological Sciences.

The workshop sessions and activities centered on different elements that set apart faculty at top institutions, including outstanding research and teaching, professional and scientific expertise, as well as connections with industry and society via incubation and commercialization initiatives.

Participants presented their current research and conducted teaching demonstrations while also obtaining feedback and guidance from experienced faculty members. Furthermore, attendees took part in a group activity focused on incubation, directed by the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC) for three days. The workshop additionally concentrated on crucial elements like enhancing the participants' confidence.
