IIT Bombay Leads QS Asia University Rankings 2024
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has been ranked first in the QS Asia University Rankings 2024. The Indian Institute has also secured the 40th rank in the continent this year. With an overall score of 67.2 out of 100, IIT Bombay scored particularly well in Employer Reputation (96) and Academic Reputation (83.5). Among other things, the professor-student ratio (14.8), doctoral students (100) and the number of articles per faculty (95.7) did well.
Furthermore, IIT Bombay is ranked 149th in the QS World Ranking 2024. The top five in the QS World University Rankings 2024 are held by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, Harvard University and Stanford University. Other well-known and famous Indian universities like IIT Delhi, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras and University of Delhi were included in the top 100 list.
These investments were announced by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
These rankings included 148 Indian universities, 133 Chinese universities and 96 Japanese universities. IIT Delhi is 46th, IIT Madras is 53rd, IISc is 52nd and IIT Kharagpur is 61st in the QS Asia University Rankings.
Asia and top university China and Peking University were followed by Tsinghua University, University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.
In the 2024 QS Asia University Rankings, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore each have two universities, while China has four institutions in the top ten.
