ICFAI conducts leadership conversations“Start taking millets as your staple food to eliminate sickness” stated Dr Khadar Valli, Millet Man  at the 48th Wise Views Leadership Conversations conducted by ICFAI on March 18, 2022 at 7.30 pm. Dr Khadar Valli shared his views on “When Food is Right - Medicine is of no need: Opportunities in Farming, Food Processing & Retail”.

“In the past 25 years, lot of research is done on the food we take and based on the numerous experiments conducted we found that millets are the saviors’ for the mankind to maintain their health”, explained Dr. Khadar Valli. “The present centralized food processing is dominated by rice, wheat, sugar and meat which are the main ingredients of many diseases”, he added.

Elaborating the above, Dr. Khadar said “for humans to remain healthy it needs less amount of glucose (5-6 gms) in their body, whereas the four ingredients mentioned above injects 50-60 gms in our body creating glucose imbalance that leads to many diseases. When our choice of food is wrong, we invite sickness invariably”, he opined.

“So, by taking millets regularly which makes our blood thinner and reduces the pressure on the blood stream in our body, we can avoid some dangerous diseases like Diabetes, Chronic Kidney disease, stress related disease and cancer etc”, he added.

“Our choice of food is creating microbial and harmonial imbalances that are creating situations like early menstruation in girls under the age of 10 yrs, early baldness among the youth, loss of sperm count in males etc. By adopting the scientifically proved millets, we can keep ourselves and our future generation healthy” stated Dr. Khadar.

“By consuming 5 types of millets in our daily life we can successfully avoid 108 kinds of diseases without taking any medicine and in fact if we use them on a regular basis, we will never fell sick at all”, reiterated Dr. Khadar Valli.

Answering to a question in the Q & A, Dr. Khadar Valli said “these millets are grown largely in India and even more in Karnataka and people are slowly realizing the importance of these grains. These millets can be preserved upto 4 yrs without using any chemicals”.
