Haryana CM Launches free Transportation for Students in Villages

The Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, introduced the 'Chatra Parivahan Suraksha' scheme. This initiative is a significant step forward in ensuring that education is easily accessible to the vast rural population of the state.

The objective of this prestigious initiative is to offer complimentary transportation services for students residing in multiple villages of Haryana. During the 'Jan Samvad' event in Ratangarh village, Karnal district, Khattar revealed this initiative.

According to him, the scheme is exclusively tailored to meet the needs of villages where the number of students attending far-flung schools goes beyond 30.

Bus services will be provided by the transport department to villages that have more than 50 students. Khatter explained that minibuses would be deployed for those with 30 to 40 students, according to indiatoday.

The education department will provide essential transportation support in villages with a small number of students (between five and ten) attending distant schools.
According to the official announcement, the operations of the 'Chatra Parivahan Suraksha Yojana' are set to begin on Monday, starting from Ratangarh village.

The responsibility of operating the bus services, which will transport students to school and back, falls under the jurisdiction of the roadways department. The buses will be stationed at the village by 7 am.

After its successful implementation in Karnal, the scheme would expand its coverage to encompass the entire state. The district education department will provide funding for these services, which will be offered to students completely free of charge.

By implementing this, a significant number of school-going children across Haryana would have improved access to valuable education.

Khattar highlighted the state government's dedication to engage with the most vulnerable communities in society through the platform of 'Jan Samvad'.

In the preceding nine years, we have expanded the advantages of multiple programs to approximately one crore individuals. The chief minister expressed that our main goal is to improve the living conditions of every disadvantaged family and strengthen their economic security.
