Govt Plans to Expand CBSE's International Board, Foster Global Partnership in Education
CBSE-International, or CBSE-i, the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) internationally acclaimed curriculum, has made waves in 240 schools across 26 countries.
CBSE-i has been meeting the educational needs of Indian families living abroad since its inception in 2010. Recognising the effectiveness of CBSE-i schools and their alignment with international standards, the Indian government is now determined to expand their global reach.
The government recognises the value of working with school boards in other countries, particularly those in developed countries.
Shreevats Jaipuria, Chair of the PHDCCI Education Committee, emphasises the importance of these collaborations in improving school education quality in India.
As India holds the G20 presidency this year, expanded collaboration with school boards around the world will improve educational opportunities for Indian students.
The CBSE-International curriculum has garnered praise for its ability to cater to diverse learning styles while maintaining high academic standards.
By expanding the international board, the government aims to provide students with access to global possibilities and encourage cross-cultural learning.
This initiative aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP), positioning India as a model for educational reform in emerging nations.
With its plans to expand CBSE's international board and promote the adoption of the NEP in emerging nations, India demonstrates its dedication to fostering worldwide educational cooperation and raising educational standards globally.
By leveraging the success of CBSE-International and the visionary NEP, India aims to shape the future of education and provide quality education to students around the world.
