Govt Junior Colleges Adopt New Standards for Academic Growth
The Directorate of Intermediate Education has initiated a one-day training and orientation program for the academic monitoring cells in government junior colleges throughout the state. The program was launched on Saturday by S Krishna Aditya, the Director and Secretary of Intermediate Education.
The programme took place in the academic departments to improve the education quality of the government junior colleges through motivation, planning, monitoring, and executing effective strategies.
Created by the Academic Guidance Training and Placement Cell (AGTPC), the programme aims to monitor and enhance students' overall performance via consistent assessment.
The district academic monitoring teams will examine seven key areas of the government junior colleges.
Keep a record of district-wise, college-wise, and subject-wise results for the past three years; track long and frequent absentees according to enrolled admissions in the Admission login for the academic year 2024-25; manage the timely assessment of pre-final examinations and evaluate the results; ensure timely generation of APAAR ID in the U-DISE portal; daily reports must be sent to the head office, AGTPAC; confirm that special classes are held as scheduled; and ensure study hours occur twice each day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
