Godrej & Boyce collaborates with Savitribai Phule Pune University to introduce a certificate course for disabled war veterans
Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, announced that its business, Godrej Lawkim Motors has collaborated with Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Skill Development Centre. Together they have launched a certificate course on ‘Repair and Maintenance Of Domestic Electronic Appliances’ for the disabled soldiers of Queen Mary Technical Institute in Maharashtra. The aim of the programme is to create employment opportunities and train over 100 injured warriors of India over the next year to make them self-reliant.
Godrej Lawkim Motors has used its decades of expertise in motors & calibration services to design the certificate course as a noble cause for the impaired soldiers by associating with Savitribai Phule Pune University to make them financially independent. The course commenced in September 2022 and will be conducted at Queen Mary Technical Institute, Khadki for a period of three months with a batch size of 20 persons and targets an average age group of 30 years. The people will be coached by a team of professionals from Godrej Lawkim Motors along with university professors.
