Goa Govt Collaborates With EMBIBE for Digital learning Platform For School Students
The Goa government has announced the launch of a digital learning platform for students in the state's 594 government and government-aided schools.
The state government has signed an agreement with Embibe, which was acquired by Reliance Industries in 2018, to provide a digital learning platform to one lakh students and 3,000+ educators from 594 government-run and aided schools across Goa.
The two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the partnership was approved by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and signed by Directorate of Education Mr Shailesh Zingde in the presence of State Project Director S S Ghadi, Assistant Director-Planning Manoj Sawaikar, Assistant Director, Academics Melvin D'Costa, and officials from the company.
This collaboration follows Chief Minister Sawant's recent announcement that the state would prioritise education and implement the New Education Policy (NEP) as part of its budget.
According to S S Ghadi, State Project Director, the collaboration "will provide necessary guidance to several students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, and revolutionise the way our students learn."
"It has been a tremendous help to our students and teachers, even during a pandemic when teaching had to become entirely digital." We believe that this collaboration will be a game changer for education in Goa and a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to ensure that all of our students have access to a world-class education," Ghadi said.
The collaboration will begin in the 2023-24 academic year.
"We are eager to show how our content can improve teaching and learning outcomes across the state." "We hope to become knowledge partners to the State of Goa, driving efficient decision-making to improve education," said Aditi Avasthi, CEO of Embibe.
