Emeritus, in partnership with SPJIMR, has announced the launch of an Executive Certificate Programme in AI for Business. High demand for AI roles and a projected value of $17 billion for India's AI market by 2027 draws attention to the increasing need for strategic AI leadership in aiding businesses in this fast-evolving digital economy.

With the rapid growth of the AI market in India, this programme enables professionals to lead AI-driven change and become leaders in the evolving business landscape.

By 2027, India's AI market is projected to touch around $17 billion and grow at a compound annual growth rate of 25-35%, thus highlighting the call for strategic AI leadership in the country.

Professor Ashish Desai, Associate Professor and Programme Director for the Executive Certificate Programme in AI for Business at SPJIMR, said, “This programme will help professionals unlock AI's transformative potential by providing them with live online sessions and an advanced curriculum. Participants will gain practical insights to leverage AI for business advantage, empowering them to optimise operations and drive innovation.”

Executive Certificate Programme in AI for Business is an initiative for middle-to-senior level decision-makers looking to utilize AI-powered strategies in alignment with their organizational objectives. Such a seven-month online program will be relevant in driving innovation, streamlining business processes, and ensuring growth. Offered by faculty handpicked by SPJIMR, the course will combine theoretical learning with practical insights on the applications of AI in business. The design of the program is such that it equips professionals to utilize AI for optimizing operations and fuelling innovation in their organizations.

There will be live online sessions encapsulated with hands-on projects, case studies, and collaborative learning-this would only serve to enhance the learning experience and network among participants, this one is important towards exchanging ideas and inspiring growth.

The program will expose participants to important experiences: advanced AI apps such as generative AI and natural language processing, data-driven insights for rational decision-making, and leading and managing AI teams. On-campus immersion at SPJIMR, Mumbai, is optional, allowing for in-person interaction with faculty and peers.

Starting March 30, 2023, this seven-month program requires a minimum experience of two years. Upon successful completion of the program, the participants will receive a certificate from SPJIMR and will be designated as Executive Alumni.

The Executive Certificate Programme in AI for Business is being introduced by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan SP Jain Institute of Management and Research in partnership with Emeritus. As per PwC's 2024 Global AI Jobs Barometer, demand for AI-related jobs is surging, with job postings accelerating over three and a half times in other industries.
