Education Minister Atishi Launches Video Series On Delhi Govt's Happiness Curriculum
On Sunday, Education Minister Atishi launched a 36-episode video series based on the Delhi government's Happiness Curriculum, claiming that it will help educators all over the world teach their students how to live a happy and purposeful life.
People will learn to serve humanity in the truest sense through this initiative, she says.
The Happiness Curriculum was launched in 2018 with the goal of strengthening students' foundations of happiness and well-being through a 35-minute class held every day from kindergarten to Class 8 in 1,030 government schools across the national capital.
The curriculum's primary goals are the development of self-awareness, expression, empathy, and relationship understanding.
"The video series includes subtitles, which will help the Delhi government spread the Happiness Curriculum philosophy to a wider audience. This is a significant initiative that can help us make positive changes in our lives "Atishi stated.
The series is an initiative of the Delhi government's Education Department to share the "purpose of life" and the role of education in achieving that purpose, she says.
