Dr Kakodkar States For Future Of Higher Education

Famous Scientist and Member of Atomic Energy Commission of India, Dr Anil Kakodkar on Sunday said, “I believe that higher education in India should be based on three aspects in line with the development of human potential.” At the time of addressing to gathering students at first Convocation ceremony of MGMU, he said, “These three aspects are to bring every student to the latest and technological education in their faculty, to contribute to the welfare of humans and surrounding ecology and environment by producing world-class professionals, to empower people at the grassroots through knowledge,” he said.

During the time of going on this path, human values should also be preserved. By preserving such values, care should be taken that there is no harm to the entire mankind and nature. India is ranked third in the world in scientific research publications. It is likely to increase further in terms of quality and quantity. Efforts should be made for that.

Stanford University faculty and alumni have created nearly 40,000 companies and contributed to nearly $2.7 trillion in annual revenue. “Hopes that a similar ecosystem should be created in our university,” Dr Kakodkar expressed.

He further said, “Currently we are in the technological era of semiconductor, artificial intelligence, computing and telecom, clean energy, pharmaceutical etc. Therefore, the country is also developing with the help of technology.”
