Directorate of Education partners with Bharti Foundation to launch 'Teaching-Learning Material Book'

The Bharti Foundation, in collaboration with the Delhi Directorate of Education, recently launched a Teacher Learning Resource Book. Dignitaries from the Bharti Foundation and the Directorate of Education (Govt. of NCT of Delhi) attended the ceremony. The resource book is a collection of teaching-learning materials (TLMs) created by teachers in partnering DoE schools as part of the Satya Bharti Quality Support Programme of the Bharti Foundation.

The event was held on May 23 in the capital to recognise teachers' efforts in developing innovative teaching aids that are low/no cost and can aid in giving an engaging learning experience to students in schools. Their efforts to improve the teaching-learning process through these TLMs have been laudable.

"Bharti Foundation has been working in tandem with the Directorate of Education, Delhi for the betterment and overall capacity building of teachers," stated Himanshu Gupta, Director Education & Sports - Directorate of Education (Govt. of NCT of Delhi). This TLM brochure is a resource for all teachers looking for new ideas for constructing effective TLMs. I heartily congratulate the Bharti Foundation on its efforts to keep instructors always encouraged to put their best foot forward."

Mamta Saikia, CEO of the Bharti Foundation, commended the teachers on their outstanding efforts and contributions during the event.

"I thank the Directorate of Education, Delhi, for providing us with the opportunity to work with mentor teachers in DoE Schools in Delhi, under the auspices of the Bharti Foundation's Satya Bharti Quality Support Programme," she added. This resource book is a collection of the top TLMs that are original, cost-effective, and replicable by other teachers in both physical and virtual environments. Our goal is to highlight the relevance of innovation in improving teaching-learning processes and, as a result, attaining improved learning outcomes in schools."
