Delhi Robotics League igniting Innovation and Problem-Solving Skills among high School Students says Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has lauded the incorporation of technology in the education of high school pupils as a beneficial move in overcoming day-to-day challenges.

Kejriwal made his remarks at the Thyagaraj Stadium during the launch of the Delhi Robotics League and the HE21 Exhibition. The event highlights the outstanding abilities and unique ideas developed by students from various Delhi schools.

"A high-end competition like this has never been held in India." "Today, both public and private schools are competing in this competition," the CM stated.

Notably, the School of Specialised Excellence has the highest number of participants, showing the exceptional level of education delivered in Delhi government institutions.

Kejriwal praised the kids for their commitment to solving real-world challenges.

"Ultimately, every product over here is a solution to some real-world problem," he said, "and as a result, I firmly believe that there are no losers in this tournament and everyone here is a winner."

Kejriwal offered a personal experience that emphasised the need of practical problem-solving abilities.

Despite his background in mechanical engineering from IIT-Kharagpur, he humorously recalled being unable to fix a simple ceiling fan when requested by his grandfather.

"I told him I didn't know how to fix the fan. He was surprised that I was a mechanical engineer in IIT-Kharagpur and could not even fix a fan. That is when I realised the disconnect between what we study in college and the real-world problems," he said.
