CBSE Signs 15 MOUs to Improve Skill Education, Assessment and Teacher Training
With a goal of advancing skill education, assessment, and teacher capacity building, CBSE has inked 15 Memorandums of Understanding with other Institutes.
The NEP places a major emphasis on increased cooperation between academia and industry. The curriculum must be in line with what the industry requires and should allow for student internships and apprenticeships to encourage exposure to the field.
The ability of teachers to produce the desired results needs to be updated. Through these programmes, CBSE has established strategic alliances for education, training, and skill development.
Twelve Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) have been signed with sector skill providers like Atal Innovation Mission, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, Automotive Sector Skill Council, Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council, and Logistics Sector Skill Council in order to guarantee that students acquire a diverse range of skills, guarantee the availability of quality infrastructure, and expose students to emerging technologies.
These Sector Skill Councils will also help with teacher training, competition/Hackathon organisation for students, and the creation of skill modules and study materials for skill subjects at various levels.
The Central Square Foundation (CSF) will support CBSE in SAFAL, a competency-based census assessment as recommended in the NEP for grades 3, 5, and 8 for school development.
The partners will prepare quality competency-based assessments for Conducting SAFAL for grades 3, 5, and 8.
Training Manuals will be developed by Educational Initiatives Pvt Ltd and Oxford University Press India on the development of a Competency-Based Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for teachers in English, Maths, Science, and Social Science, Updation of existing CBP on strengthening Assessment and Evaluation and development of training materials and in the development of Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on National Curriculum Framework Foundational Stage (NCF- FS).
