CBSE Discards Grading Division for Class 10 and 12 Boards
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced major changes in the evaluation process for class 10 and 12 board exams. With immediate effect, CBSE will not award any distinction or division to students, instead focusing on individual activities of the project.
The decision was taken through an official announcement by CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj, marking a departure from the traditional grading system.
This statement explains that the responsibility is to determine which five programs are most suitable for the number of students. Now it's the college you're going to.
If you have completed more than five programs, you can leave the decision to choose and evaluate the top five programs to the admissions office or employer.
The official release emphasized, "The Board does not calculate, declare, or inform the percentage of marks. If the percentage of marks is required for higher education or employment, any calculation necessary should be undertaken by the admitting institution or employer."
The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, last year decided not to issue any merit list of students while declaring the results for class 10 and 12 board exams. The board had also not announced any toppers for classes 10 and 12.
