CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exams to Be Held from May 4th to June 10th

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the date sheet of classes 10 and 12 examinations on 5th February, 2021. The exams are scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 10, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said earlier. The date sheet is available now at cbse.nic.in.

The exam will be held in the offline written mode and paper will contain 33 per cent internal choice questions. The syllabus of the exam has also been reduced to 30 per cent. The schools will conduct the practical exams from March 1. However, there could be an alternative to practical exams if the schools could not able to conduct it owing to the pandemic, Nishank said.

The exams will be held following the COVID-19 pandemic protocols, wearing face mask, carrying hand sanitisers will be a must and social distancing will be maintained.

In a notification issued, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) mentioned, “As the situation due to COVID-19 pandemic by faced by students/teachers, and schools is unprecedented, CBSE in order to ensure a conducive environment to the students for the exams and based on the feedbacks and consultations with diverse stakeholders, has decided the following and accordingly notified that the board examination for class 10 and 12 will commence from May 4, 2021 (Tuesday)."
