BHU Introduces two Programs for Students' Holistic Development
The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has started two projects to help students develop holistically. "Student Leadership and Life Skills Development Initiative" and "Student Well-Being Initiative" are the initiatives.
Student wellbeing and leadership initiative committees are developed for the faculties of Visual Arts, Education, Management, and Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan.
The committees' goals are to assist students in overcoming obstacles in life, resolving psychological issues, and developing a mindset of resilience and mental wellness as well as soft, social, interpersonal, and career-related skills.
Students will connect with the members of the Student Leadership and Life Skills Development project to aid them in reaching their personal and professional objectives. The institution will also send resource people, facilitators, and mentors to deliver interactive sessions, seminars, and other activities on a variety of topics, including resilience, emotional intelligence, and leadership.
The Student Well-Being Initiative has been mandated to develop strategies and activities to enhance physical and mental health as well as overall wellbeing of students.
Resource persons, both internal and external, will address students on various aspects of well being. The committee members will ensure availability to students whenever need arises as well as facilitate their access to the services available.
