Assam Government Takes Bold Undertaking to Establish 700 Advanced Schools
In a significant move to enhance the education system, the Assam government has unveiled a plan to establish 700 advanced leader schools across the state. This ambitious initiative is designed to elevate educational standards and provide students with access to modern learning tools and environments, according to a senior official.
The project will prioritize the integration of cutting-edge technology, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and skilled management to create transformative learning spaces. The official added that these schools aim to excel academically while promoting skill development and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Assam’s Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has emphasized the government's commitment to integrating digital education alongside traditional teaching methods. He revealed that most schools in Assam are now equipped with smart classrooms and reliable internet connectivity, which will be utilized to expose students to digital learning resources. The minister also reiterated the government's focus on implementing digital classes to modernize teaching and learning processes in the state.
To combat high school dropout rates, the state has introduced a digital attendance system for both students and teachers. The system enables close monitoring of attendance, ensuring timely interventions to boost turnout. Minister Pegu highlighted that an increase in attendance is a critical step toward reducing dropout rates, as consistent attendance fosters engagement and academic success.
As the academic session resumed after a month-long break, Minister Pegu addressed teachers virtually, encouraging them to contribute to this transformative phase in Assam's education sector. The state’s efforts reflect a broader commitment to creating an inclusive and forward-thinking education system that meets the needs of contemporary learners.
