75 Educators to Receive the National Teachers' Award 2023 from President Murmu Today

President Droupadi Murmu will present the National Teachers' Award to 75 educators from various parts of the nation on National Teachers' Day. The Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi is where the award presentation is supposed to happen.

Each awardee will also receive a silver medal, a cash prize of Rs 50,000, and a certificate of merit, according to the Minister of Education. Additionally, the award recipients will enjoy the opportunity to speak with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Every year on Teachers' Day, a national event is organised by the Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy. The purpose of this celebration is to honour outstanding teachers across the country with the National Awards.

According to an official statement, as of this year, teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Department of Higher Education are now eligible for the National Teachers' Award.

The awards will reportedly be given to 50 school teachers, 13 higher education faculty members, and 12 instructors connected to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship this year.

To commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth, the nation observes National Teachers' Day on September 5.

The National Teachers' Award serves the purpose of commemorating the distinct contributions of educators within the nation. It aims to recognise and pay tribute to teachers who, through their unwavering commitment and dedication, have not only enhanced the quality of education but have also enriched the lives of their students.

The ministry established three distinct Independent National Juries, consisting of eminent individuals, to oversee the selection of teachers.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the recipients of the National Teachers' Award 2023 on Monday.

"Met our nation's exemplary educators who have been honoured with the National Teachers' Awards. Their dedication to shaping young minds and their unwavering commitment to excellence in education is very inspiring. In their classrooms, they are scripting a brighter future for India's youth," says PM Modi.
