Which is the easiest competitive exam in India?
Probably you have heard of the toughest competitive examinations in India – like CAT, JEE, UPSC Civil Services, AIIMS, NET, CLAT, GATE, ISRO and many more. These examinations are really hard to crack. Very few candidates that are exceptional, determined, focused, hard and smart working get a taste of success in their first attempt. Many candidates take an average of 3-4 attempts to qualify.
Competitive examinations vary accordingly. If you are looking for jobs then there are various competitive examinations in both the government and the private sectors. To get an opportunity to work in the government offices, candidates seat for examinations for the posts that they are interested in. Like if you are interested in finance and banking; then you would mostly be sitting for government bank examinations that are conducted by IBPS, SBI, RBI, NABARD, etc. or you would be sitting for private bank examinations that are conducted by the recruitment teams of corporate banks like ICICI, HDFC, YES Bank, AXIS etc.
Amongst all the banking exams the easiest to crack is IBPS RRB – Regional Rural Bank examinations. The RRB examination is conducted for the intake of candidates in the positions of Office Assistant, Marketing Manager, Treasury Manager, Officer Scale – I, Banking Officer Scale – II, Agriculture Officer (Grade – II), Law Officer (Grade – II), Law Officer (Grade – II), Chartered Accountant (Grade II), Officer (Grade III) and IT Officer (Grade II). All the examinations have two common sections which are Logical Reasoning and Numerical Ability, and these sections are comparatively easy from the same sections of SBI, Other IBPS banking examinations, RBI, ICICI, HDFC etc.
That goes for banking. If you are looking to make a career in the Railways, then RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) Group D should be your first choice in the list. The RRB Group D is the easiest among all the other examinations conducted by the railway board of India. It consists – General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and Current Affairs. The other round is the Physical Efficiency Test round for which you need to be physically fit and strong.
Other Equivalent Government Examinations
Staff Selection Commission or SSC conducts specific examinations to fill the posts of Engineers, Translators, Stenographers, Central Armed Police Forces or CAPFs, Constables, Multi Tasking Executives. It also conducts examinations like CGL (Combined Graduate Level) and CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) for mass recruitments in the officer and clerical level positions. The CGL examination is conducted to fill the vacancies in the Group B and Group C cadres. The other one – CHSL is conducted to recruit employees for data entries, general office works, office management, postal duties etc. CHSL is easier when compared to CGL. The examination consists of three rounds – Computer MCQ round (has four sections – English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and General Intelligence), Descriptive Test round in which candidates are asked to write a letter or an application or essay. The third round checks the typing speed of the candidates. It is qualifying in nature.
Examinations for Admissions into Colleges
So far, we have discussed about examinations for jobs. Let us now have a look into the easy examinations that are conducted by various institutions.
Students who want to pursue engineering after completing 10+2 with science can opt for WBJEE. This examination is conducted in West Bengal by the state board to intake students in the state’s government and private engineering colleges. The examination is relatively easy and it tests how fast you can solve a given problem.
There are other engineering entrances like Bitsat, which grants admission to Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) that has branches in Goa and Hyderabad. The examination Bitsat is not as tough as JEE. So is KIITEE. KIITEE is the entrance examination for the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. The entrance examination is not difficult, but not easy either.
If you want to pursue higher education in management after graduation, then fear not. CAT is not the only entrance examination for students who are eyeing for MBA. There are exams which are easy compared to CAT. These exams are CMAT, MAT, and NMAT.
Though, keep in mind - No exam is easy! To qualify in any examination, you need to put all your energy into that. You need to be a hard worker. There’s no alternative way.
