1. Department of Science & Technology, Government of India: Offered by Department of Science & Technology, GOI, the SERB-National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) is aimed to identify motivated young researchers and provide them support for doing research in frontier areas of science and engineering. The fellows will work under a mentor, and it is hoped that this training will provide them a platform to develop as an independent researcher.
Eligibility: The applicant should be an Indian citizen and must have obtained Ph.D./M.D. /M.S. degree from a recognized University. Those who have submitted their PhD/M.D/M.S thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will be offered lower fellowship amount till they qualify the eligible degree. The upper age limit for the fellowship is 35 years at the time of the submission of application; age will be calculated by taking the date of closure of the respective call. Age relaxation of 5 (five) years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged & Women candidates.
2. Christ University: Located in Bangalore, Christ University awards PDF) to selected Research Scholars in accordance with its Regulation in this regard. The objective of this award is to provide an opportunity to scholars to carry out advanced studies and research in the fields of Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Law and Education.
Eligibility: The candidate must have a doctorate degree in the relevant subject from Universities/Institutions recognised by UGC/Association of India Universities (AIU), with published research work to their credit. Not more than five years must have lapsed after award of the doctorate. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent Grade) at UG level and 60% marks (or equivalent Grade) in PG level. The Candidate must not be more than 42 years of age as on 1st June of the year of application. The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45years for women candidates and for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ Minority Community candidates.
3. Indian Council of Social Science Research: ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellowship is targeted to encourage and retain young Indian social science scholars who have completed their PhD and who wish to pursue a regular career in teaching and research. They should have a high potential and promise for conducting full time research on specific themes and issues. It is been offered to a wide range of disciplines, including Commerce and Management.
Eligibility: The scholar should not be more than 45 years of age on the last date of application. There shall be an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates. He/she must possess a Ph.D. degree in any of the social science disciplines at the time of application. A fellow is required to affiliate himself/herself to an ICSSR Research Institute/ institutes of national importance as approved by MHRD/ government research institutes/ UGC recognized Indian university including deemed university/college having approved Ph.D. programme and requisite research infrastructure of his/her choice. Funds are disbursed through the affiliating/administering institution.
4. Indian School of Business: Business Research Fellowship Programme (BRFP) is in keeping with ISB’s mission to create a high quality research driven business school. This Post-Doctoral research programme focuses on the issues faced by businesses - small or large, public or private in developing and developed countries. Fellows pursuing the BRFP will conduct academic research jointly with a resident faculty member in their area of interest.
6. IIT Ropar: IIT Ropar invites applications for Institute Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the various Departments/Centres.
Eligibility: PhD Degree Holders are eligible to apply within five years after completion of their PhD. The application has to be submitted to the Department/Center in which the candidate intends to join as a Post-Doctoral Fellow.
7. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi: IIT Delhi invites applications from qualified Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) for the Post-Doctoral Fellows (PDF) in the various Departments/Centres/Schools including Management.
Eligibility: The candidates should have qualified Ph.D. with First class or equivalent grade in preceding degree in respective discipline, with a consistently good academic record.Maximum age is 32 years for male and 35 years for female candidates (to be relaxed by 5 years in case of persons with physical disability, SC and ST and 3 years in case of OBC-NCL). Atleast 2 referred conference/journal papers (of which at least 1 should be in reputed journals).
