Diploma Courses that can land a Job
A certificate course that certifies a student has successfully completed a specific course and gives the student an opportunity to get a job is a diploma course. A diploma course can be done in graduation or in post-graduation. In India, there are two types of diplomas awarded to the student which are issues by formal education sector and non-formal education sector. The diplomas that are issued by government approved institutes/colleges/universities are known as formal education sector diploma and the diplomas issued by the NGOs, companies and societies are known as the non-formal education sector diploma.
There are various diploma courses that can land a job for a student. Nowadays, many students are selecting diploma courses rather than pursuing a bachelor’s or a master’s degree to start the career journey. Here are some of the diploma courses that you can do:
1. Diploma in Paithani Handicraft and Modern Garments – It is a Paithani weaving diploma course – aimed to preserve Paithani Handicraft. The duration of the course is one year and the topics that are covered during this period are – Silkworm and Paithani Weaving assistance, Paithani Handicraft Theory and Paithani Modern Handicraft and Modern Garment Design. Students who have completed class 10 are eligible for this course. Maharashtra state government has started a small-scale industry of Paithani Handicraft and Modern Garments to provide an opportunity to the private craftsmen to continue Paithani Handicraft and Modern Garments weaving.
2. Post-Graduation Diploma in Archives Keeping – It is a one year PG diploma course in Archives Keeping, with a focus on giving a chance to the students to get a job. Students who have completed PG degree in History or Archeology are eligible for this course. In this course, a student learns the standard principles and methods of description of archival materials that has been adopted by the Indian and overseas archival community. They also learn the various perspectives regarding the nature and purpose of archival description. There are many opportunities for students upon completion of this course. They can work as Lecturers, Information Managers, PR Officers, Records Managers in Conversation and Reprography in any field of Archives Keeping.
3. Certification in Finance and Accounts – The certificate course in finance and accounts provide training on business processes, basic voice training, advance voice training and basic finance.
