Often students after completing class 10 fall in a dilemma to select the right course. Most of them do not even realize that based on the subjects they study after completing secondary examination will decide the stream they would get at college and afterward the career they will be settling into. All most all of them follow the traditional path of studying humanities, commerce or science.

Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) – There are government-aided training organizations that offer training in multiple fields like diesel mechanic engineering, draughtsman engineering, pump operator, fitter engineering, etc. After completing the course, one will find work opportunity in the public sector.

4. Diploma in Commercial Art – Commonly known as advertising art course which focuses on the selling of goods and services. After completing a diploma course in this stream, a student can either opt for MBA in sales and marketing or can get a good job in advertising agencies, publishing houses, art studios or fashion houses.

5. Diploma in Stenography – One of the most popular diploma courses that equip a student with hands-on skills on shorthand dictations alongside clerical duties. There are plenty of opportunities in public as well as the private sector, where a student can apply to work as a stenographer, clerk cum typist and computer operator.

6. Diploma in Garment Technology – A three-year diploma course in garment technology provides training on merchandise and resource utilization. Students after completing this course can find job opportunities in fashion designing.

7. Diploma in Laboratory Technician – Students who study this subject become lab technician, lab assistant, etc. They can also start their own laboratories in specific categories. The students after completing this course can join the ceramic industry or they can also go for higher education.
