All you need to know about JEE 2019

With the release of JEE Main 2019 admit cards recently by National Testing Agency (NTA), for the examination that is set to be conducted in April 2019, students are left with only few days in hands for the final preparation.  However, for letting aspirants getting all the information under one roof, we have prepared this comprehensive and informative article.

1. The very first thing to note is that, from this year onwards, JEE Main exam will be conducted in online/computer-based mode. On the day of the examination, the candidates are advised to carry the admit card that can be downloaded from the official website at jeemain.nic.in.

This JEE hall ticket will have all the important information regarding the examination date, centre and shift.

 

2. The JEE exam will be conducted in two shifts each day. The first shift will be from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and second shift will be from 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm. Candidates who are appearing for paper  can carry their Geometry box.

 

3. Along with the coloured A4 size admit card, the Candidates are suggested to carry one passport size photograph (same as the one uploaded with the online application form). Additionally to be on the safe side, carry an original and photocopy of identity proof which also have a clear photo of the candidate such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card and so on.

 

4. The Candidates belonging to the PwD category should carry a certificate issued by the competent authority; else they will not be eligible for the relaxation provided under the category. However, they will be allowed to appear for the JEE Main, considering they have all other required documents.

 

5. The candidates should report at the Examination Centre two hours before the commencement of the examination so as to complete the frisking and registration formalities well before the time. The registration desk will be closed 60 minutes prior to the examination.Candidates please note that they will not be permitted to enter in the Examination Hall/Room after 8:30 a.m. in first shift and after 1.30 p.m. in second shift.

 

All who qualify the JEE Main will be applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75 per cent marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65 per cent in the 12th class examination. To each and every candidates out there preparing for the examination- Stay motivated and perform well.
