A seven year old achieves World Record

Aadya Garnaik, a class II student of Shiv Nadar School Gurgaon (a not-for-profit initiative of the Shiv Nadar Foundation in K12 education) has brought laurels to the country by creating a world record of becoming the “youngest to achieve diploma in music composition”. The honour was conferred upon her recently by the prestigious Golden Book. Aadya was felicitated with a diploma by the Aman Bathla's Passionotes - The Piano School.

The felicitation ceremony took place recently at a Club House of Vatika City in Gurgaon. On the occasion, Aadya performed the autobiographical music composition "Dawn to Sunrise". In the presence of the judges of the Golden Book of World Records, members of the audience asked several questions to Aadya on music. The judges of the Golden Book of World Records also tested Aadya’s knowledge on music. The chief guests present on the occasion were Dr Priyaranjan Trivedi, Chancellor, The Global Open University, Nagaland and Dr Amarnath Amar, Director Doordarshan.

On being satisfied with Aadya's knowledge in music, the judges of the World Records institution gave the world record certificate to her.
