NEET PG 2024 Qualifying Percentile Lowered Across all Categories
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has lowered the qualifying percentile for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024. The qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2024 has been lowered for all categories.
"It is for the information to candidates that as per the decision taken by MoHFW in consultation with NMC, the percentile for NEET PG counselling 2024 has been lowered," mentioned the official notice by MCC.
The NEET PG cut-off percentiles were set at the 50th for unreserved categories, the 45th for PwD categories, and the 40th for students in reserved categories.
Students from the general and EWS categories scoring 15th percentile or higher will qualify to take part in the counselling. The updated and modified cut-off needed for eligibility in NEET PG counselling is at least the 10th percentile for students from SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories.
The NEET PG qualifying percentile was reduced to zero for all categories last year. In 2022, the NEET PG cut-off for candidates in the general category was lowered from the 50th percentile to 35th. The cut-off for unreserved PwD candidates was lowered from the 45th percentile to the 20th percentile, while for SC, ST, and OBC students (including PwD from SC, ST, and OBC), the cut-off was decreased from the 40th percentile to the 20th.
