Government adding digital technology for student’s benefit: Jharkhand CM
The chief minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, stated that the state government is working towards improving the education system through the introduction of new technologies in the school system.
While addressing a tablet Distribution Ceremony among 28945 government primary schools during a ceremonial program organized by the School Education and Literacy Department in Ranchi on Friday, Hemant Soren said all this.
“Today the era has become digital. There is no sector left which is untouched by digitization. Digital services are also changing rapidly. Every day – digital services are being upgraded. One cannot keep away from digitalisation. In such a situation, it is better that you make yourself and the coming generation technically strong according to the time,” said Soren.
“Only when you are digital friendly will you be able to move forward,” said Soren, who also launched the school report card for quality education promotion and a mandatory 50-hour integrated-continuous capacity development program for teachers online.
“With this, all reporting work from attendance in schools will be done through digital medium. At the same time, the use of tablets will make it easier to monitor the work related to children’s studies, teachers’ training, supervision, biometric attendance and on that basis it will help a lot in improving the education system,” said Soren.
The Chief Minister said that today’s education system has been digitized on a large scale.
“Smart classes are running in schools. Digital educational materials are being used. Online coaching classes are going on. In such a situation, if our children are not digital friendly, then their path ahead will not be easy. They will have to face many challenges and problems at every step. Keeping this in mind, the government has started a campaign to provide quality education to the children studying in government schools and to strengthen them digitally,” said Soren.
