| |9 NOVEMBER, 2024HIGHERReviewTHREE WAYS IN WHICH HIGHER EDUCATION IN NURSING IS CHANGING leadership and management, psychiatric mental health, and community health nursing. This can open up new possibilities for nurses to specialize in different areas and be able to actively participate in their respective fields. Such specializations play an important role in helping nurses to stay current, as well as providing them with the ability to tackle new roles.New technology being implemented The rapid pace of technological advancement appears to affect every business, and nursing is no different. Other tools like mobile monitoring devices, smart beds, wearable technology, and mobile apps have all been added to the nursing arsenal and have all been named as significant recent changes in the nursing practice. Patient records have also changed from being primarily paper to being primarily digital. Nurses are required to stay on top of every technology development as it occurs since telemedicine is becoming more prevalent, especially in remote regions. In order to give training on how to use this cutting-edge equipment at their full potential for patient care, this has necessitated both short, on-the-job training for seasoned nurses and new educational components in degree programs for up-and-coming nurses.Change in PedagogyNursing education has perhaps seen the biggest transformation in the previous 10 years. While training has become more formal and complicated and more widely available, many colleges are now offering specialty degrees. Schools have developed more approachable ways to achieve Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees as they have become a more common expectation through online programs, flexible scheduling, and even helping with clinical placements. Even more graduate degrees are now accessible online, making it feasible for ambitious nurse practitioners (NPs) to complete their MSN while maintaining a full-time job and start their own clinic. The nurses of fifty years ago could not have imagined the transformation in their job path. The upcoming today is promising for nurses."The teaching learning process that has been adopted by the institute includes classroom presentations, clinical teaching near patient's bedside, demonstration and re-demonstration of basic and advanced nursing procedures, regular up gradation of First Aid, Basic life support and New born resuscitation skills, skills drills of obstetric emergencies and normal labour, case studies, research projects, educational and industrial tours and participation in seminars and conferences at state and national level, which provide ample exposure to students in academic, cultural, sports and NSS activities.", says Prof. Dr. Sudha Annasaheb Raddi, Principal & Dean KLE university's institute of nursing sciencesNursing is a vital profession that is constantly changing to meet the current needs of the healthcare system. As the profession evolves so does the higher educational standards for nurses. Biotechnology is a rapidly growing field with the potential to provide new solutions to many of the world's problems. It is important to carefully manage the risks associated with biotechnology to Maximize its potential benefits. Biotechnology is an exciting field that will continue to evolve and provide new solutions in the future.
