| | 4 July 2016HIGHERReviewEditorialOn July 21st the government released a statement stating that it will be accepting suggestions on the draft National Education Policy till August 15. Asking members in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha to make their suggestions on the proposed policy to make it comprehensive, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has made it clear that he believes that the last education policy, which was made in 1986 and implemented in 1992, is outdated and that is why there is a need for a good policy that would take the country forward. It comes as a great relief to find that steps are being taken to improve the state of education of our youth at times when the country rife with political and religious commotion. That, despite the harsh state of domestic affairs in the country, our government soldiers on to improve the condition of the institution of education, reinforces the fact that education can address the problems that politics fails to solve. Our current issue deals with the steps that come in an individual's life after the completion of formal education. This issue's `Training Provider of the Year 2016' showcases several institutions that are working in tandem with various governmental agencies such as NSDC to improve the employability of the young graduates in our country. The trainers from these institutes are stepping in to augment the skill sets of fresh graduates and professionals who aspire to move up the corporate ladder. We at the Higher Education Review recognize that the infrastructure, faculty and the performance of its trainees in the industry, which in turn can be considered by the clients recruiting them, congregate to define the value of training provided by a training institute. We hope our efforts will help the fresh graduates, working professionals and corporate companies to make accurate decisions about their training partners. The cover story of this issue features IMAGE Creative Education. It is arguably the only institution in the country that provides digital media education starting from kindergarten to post graduation. We hope this proves to be useful to you.Do write to us.Sandeep SenManaging Editorsandeep@thehighereducationreview.comA New Draft that will take the Country ForwardVol 4 · Issue 7 ·July EditionPublisher & Editor Alok ChaturvediManaging Editor Sandeep Sen Editorial Team Amrutha Ram Sarath Syam Sneha Choudhury Group Art Director Ashok KumarSr. Visualizer MaitreyeeVisualizer Sheethal M SGM Sales & Marketing Monisha RavinarayanCirculation Manager Magendran PerumalSales Team Advertisement queries Editorial Queries editor@thehighereducationreview.comOffice HigherEducationReview To Subscribe Visit www.thehighereducationreview.com/subscription or send email to subscription@thehighereducationreview.com Cover price is Rs. 100 per issue.Printed and Published By Alok Chaturvedi on behalf of BizprintMedia Technologies Pvt Ltd and Printed at Precision Fototype Services at Sri Sabari Shopping Complex, 24 Residency Road Bangalore-560025 and Published At No. 124, 2nd Floor, Surya Chambers, Old Airport Road, Murigheshpalya, Bangalore-560017.Copyright © 2016 BizprintMedia Technologies Pvt Ltd, All rights reserved.
