By 2020, we would be the youngest country in the world, with a median age of 29. Unfortunately, a big chunk of the youth in India is unemployable despite having a graduate degree. There is an enormous scope for improvement in the education sector in the country, especially in the field of engineering education. It is imperative that the institutes work towards generating ROI for their graduating students. The lack of good quality technical education within the country is one of the reasons why Indian parents spend over Rs. 3 billion collectively in a year to send their kids abroad. In an effort to curb the evil of un-employability, we have come up with our fourth edition of `Top 100 Private Engineering Colleges Survey 2017.' Our panel that consists of top HR Managers, experts in the industry and the editorial team has used all of the parameters to bring some of the most promising Institutes in the country as `Top 100 Private Engineering College 2017.' We hope our efforts will help the students and parents in making accurate decisions about their higher education needs. We also hope that this list serves as a model for the remaining institutions to follow as an inspiration to work towards. The features on institutes contain riveting stories of how institutes are molding students into work ready professionals. The cover story features Rajalakshmi Engineering College, an engineering institute that has grown from strength to strength in the last 20 years and moving ahead to become a Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Management Education, Research and Development. We hope this proves to be helpful to you.Enjoy Reading.
