The country's institutions offer undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as professional degrees and certificates. The top universities in the USA are typically research-oriented institutions, with extensive resources devoted to research and graduate education. They offer a broad range of degree programs and are highly selective in their admissions process. Community colleges, on the other hand, provide a more affordable option for students who are looking to complete their general education requirements or earn an associate degree. These institutions also offer programs in technical fields, such as nursing and welding. Lately, there has been an increase in the number of online education programs offered by higher education institutions. These programs allow students to earn a degree or complete a program remotely, making it easier for students who cannot attend traditional classes. In recent years, there has also been a growing trend towards vocational and technical education in the USA. Hence, the higher education landscape in the USA can be called a diverse one, offering students a wide range of options to choose from when considering their educational goals. Considering this, we have come up with this special issue focusing on this educational landscape.
