The city has a rich history of quality education and attracts students from all over the world. Higher education in Bangalore has come a long way in recent years. With the establishment of many new colleges and universities, the city has become a hub for higher education in India. There are a number of reasons why Bangalore is a great city for higher education. The city has a large number of highly respected colleges and universities, providing students with a wide range of choices when it comes to choosing a college. Moreover, the city is home to a number of research institutes and centers, which provide students with opportunities to gain experience in their field of study. In addition, being a cosmopolitan city it offers students a diverse and culturally rich environment. In this special issue, we have focused on this higher education landscape. The cover story of this issue features RV University which is one of the frontrunners when it comes to academic innovation and technology adoption in India. It was established by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust, an 82-year-old trust. Starting with just six students in 1940, the trust now operates 22 institutions catering to students starting from kindergarten all the way to the PhD level. Also featuring in the issue is KS School of Architecture which was established under the Kammavari Sangham Group of Institutions, a non-profit trust founded by the community's philanthropists in 1952. After scrutinizing the colleges in Bangalore, Higher Education Review has selected the top performers who have showcased exceptional academic expertise. With the intent to transform the lives of students, these colleges have exhibited the acumen to adapt to the evolution of the educational field and help students emerge victorious.
