Accredited with 'A' Grade by NAAC, our Vidhya Sagar Women's College is affiliated to the University of Madras and it follows Choice Based Credit System. TThe college has a sprawling scenic campus of around 20 acres, one to one computer facility, library to cater to the needs of all the departments, convenient transport facilities, well-furnished classrooms, good infrastructure, playground set in the scenic atmosphere which includes basketball court, volleyball, ball badminton and Three Olympic Standard Shuttle courts. The college provides 24 hrs security services by professional security guards. Well equipped labs, digitalized language lab for improving professional communication skills, highly qualified and dedicated faculty, strictly nutritious pure vegetarian food and comfortable hostel facilities were also being provided. Regular medical check-up for each student, Active Placement Cell, Scholarships for deserving students and certificate courses like tally, excel, cosmetology, tailoring, etc by professional trainers which comes under Vidhya Sagar Empowerment Center, caters to the needs of the students, in improvising their skills. They are trained on personality enrichment, additional language training (Hindi), career guidance, karate and yoga training programmes for all. To sustain the interest of the students and to make the learning process more meaningful and productive, the new teaching techniques, peer teaching, brainstorming, audio-visual presentation, national and international level seminars and conferences are conducted. The students are trained to enhance their service motif by participating in various clubs like Students Union, NCC, NSS, Karuna Club, Enviro, CCC club, Rotaract Club, Infinithoughts Club and Youth Red Cross society. College offers value-added courses through Vidhya Sagar Empowerment Centre. Our college is also the local chapter of Swayam (NPTEL) through which many students and faculty members are undergoing various courses. Further, we also provide INFLIBNET in our library, an e-resource for students as well as faculty. In the digital resource centre, computers with internet facility are provided where the students can access from 9.00a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
Through IQAC, Vidhya Sagar Women's College organizes various faculty development programmes on MOOCs, NLP, Modern Methods of Teaching, Parenting the Nex-Gen, SPSS, Creative Thinking and more. Our faculty members are encouraged to attend FDPs, Workshops, Seminars and Conferences to learn new methodologies to ensure the quality of teaching. We also encourage our faculty members to join certificate courses through Swayam portal. Our faculty members have attended refresher and orientation courses conducted by Academic Staff College, University of Madras and they are also enrolled for various refresher and orientation programmes conducted by Swayam Portal to get updated on the latest developments in the educational sector. The faculty members who are attending the seminars and FDPs conducted in various institutions submit a report and share their experiences and also train their fellow members.
Making Students Industry-Ready with Entrepreneurial Activities and Involvements
Vidhya Sagar Women's College has collaboration with ICT Academy and MoU with Bharath Infotech, Shree Herbal Beauty Palace, PETRICORE Technologies and Gemicates Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Chennai. The college interface through corporate consultancy for Industrial Visit and Internship training for the students. In collaboration with Advithya Consultants Franchise of Diksha, Vidhya Sagar Women's College also provides entry-level placements in Banks either in operation or in sales.
Highlighting on the entrepreneurial activities of the college things to be brought into limelight is that the college inculcates entrepreneurial skills in the minds of the students. A separate ED cell ensures that students from various departments are trained by SIDBI for the nuances of entrepreneurship. Every year 'Manthan Bazaar' Earn While You Learn, is conducted where students set up stalls with varieties of products like textiles, food, jewellery, painting, and games. This serves as an opportunity for the students to showcase their business talents. 'The Awareness Programme for the Young Entrepreneur' conducted by Khadhi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) also takes place in the campus. Two kinds of courses Beautician and Bakery course were conducted with the duration of five days each and it gave major motivation for the young entrepreneurs to do their businesses while enlightening their talent and encouraging them to achieve success." Leading software companies namely Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Royal Winding Sundaram Finance, and Jeetah Pharmaceuticals have selected significant numbers of students from Vidhya Sagar Women's College and they are successful in their career life. To enhance and empower women's education, the students have also designed and presented a workshop on the topic 'MANTRA OF SUCCESS' as their mission for the year 2018-19.Each and every action of Vidhya Sagar Women's College is to exhibit its motto i.e. Education, Empowerment, and Enhancement of Girl Children.

Every year, Vidhya Sagar Women's College management provides scholarships for more than 120 meritorious and sports students which are amounted to Rs.50,00,000/-. Almost 100 percent concession in Tuition fee is given to the students who secure school toppers and more than 90 percent and 50 percent concession in Tuition fee is offered to the students who secure more than 80 percent in HSC examination. Vidhya Sagar Women's College also provides 25 percent concession in tuition fee for the students who excelled in sports in State and District level competitions. 50 percent Tuition fee concession is given to the students who secure first three places in the University Examinations and through Rotary Club Vidhya Sagar Women's College arranges funds for economically backward students. Apart from this, the institute also helps students to avail Government SC/ST Scholarships.

Born as the second son on 30.09.1979, to Shri Hastimal Surana and Snehlata Surana, Vikas Surana had his schooling at St. Mary's Hr. Sec. School, and in Gill Adarsh, Chennai. He had his Graduation in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai and a Masters Degree in Management from S.P.JAIN College, Mumbai. He also completed a PG diploma from IIM, Bangalore. Born in a family of Textile Industry which today has more than 2 lakh sq. ft of retail space in Chennai, Vikas Surana was the CEO of the clothing division of the family until he chose Education as the field of his main occupation. His family has promoted 15 Educational Institutions which today have more than 12,000 students.
