Indonesian higher education system is striving to compete with its neighbors such as Malaysia and Thailand to attract international students from across the globe. Several steps including allowing of foreign universities to open branches in the country have been taken by Indonesian government to strengthen the country's higher education. In this special issue, we have put the spotlight on this educational landscape. The issue features Bakrie University which is not only engaged in catering to the higher education segment of Indonesia but also to the students around the globe. Adopting experiential learning across its spectrum of curricula, Bakrie University envisions itself to be a globally recognized higher education institution. Most of the faculties at UGM consist of multiple departments as well as study programs which make it easier for students to choose a program that suits them and their career aspirations the most. This coupled with the quality of its education has helped UGM become one of the most preferred educational institutions in the country.

After scrutinizing the colleges and universities in Indonesia, we have narrowed it down to the top 10 universities and colleges that have showcased exceptional academic expertize. With the intent to transform the lives of students, these colleges have exhibited the acumen to adapt to the evolution of the educational fields and help students emerge victorious.
