SSIM: Making the Bond to Groom the Right Individuals
The balance between academics, extracurricular activities and social life is tantamount to a student\'s overall growth. Once the character of a student is cemented, it cannot be altered easily; which is why it is necessary for students to receive good training and perfect ambience to become productive individuals. Siva Shivani Institute of Management (SSIM) has a campus renowned for this as it has always succeeded in producing individuals with an all round development. \"If anyone asks me, what my college taught me, I can proudly say that it has changed me from a confused person to a confident individual,\" says Sireesh Kondra, a batch topper of SSIM. \"When I started my course at SSIM, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I was really confused. I ignored classes as I often felt lost at the beginning but the curriculum picked me up and I gained confidence with time,\" says Sireesh Kondra. The campus located in Secunderabad, has an enviable environment � serene, spacious, and provides a conducive learning environment for students. The institute has close to 600 students covering residential and non residential programs with separate hostel facility for boys and girls.

The academic block is equipped with state-of-the-art fully networked \'paperless\' classrooms consisting of dedicated classroom LCD Projector, Smart Board, Integrated Audio Visual System and suitable software to drive and integrate all these IT components and student laptops. In addition, all the classrooms are also provided with internet connectivity and 3 tier wireless networks that allows the students to be online at all times. A central server hosting archive of files facilitates high speed intra class communication, storage and retrieval of teaching and learning material. This sophisticated high tech environment facilitates group learning through interaction and participation, provides access to the body of knowledge available globally as well a locally and creates high-tech learning environment in the classroom.
\"The unique way of teaching, Do it yourself projects, simplifying and understanding things helped me gain knowledge equal to an experienced person,\" says Kondra. SSIM also helps its student develop their skills by providing programs such as corporate governance, entrepreneurship, business analytics, personality development and many more to facilitate the students\'.

Aside from the academic events the institute also conducts several sports and cultural meets where students can showcase their multifaceted personalities. SSIM has sports and cultural committees that organize sports and cultural events for students on a continuous basis. Samanvay - an inter collegiate management students meet, Spandana � a welcome fest held by the seniors for the freshers, Smriti � farewell party for the graduating class, Samskriti � a cultural day and Sammelan � an intra college fest, are few of them. The students also celebrate festivals in the campus like Onam, Deepavali among several others.
With the numerous fests and an enriching campus SSIM has created a haven for learning for MBA aspirants and future managers. The numerous events and collaborations that SSIM\'s students are involved in allow them to learn vital management techniques that cannot be learnt in a classroom such as team work, leadership and public speaking among many others.
Another factor that helps SSIM students gain a lead from their counterparts in other institutes is the presence of an active alumnus inside the campus. Students are the part of a large network which consists of more than 2000 members who regularly interact and communicate with the alumni committee in the campus. It is a result of the combined efforts of both the faculties and management. SSIM organizes an event called \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'SNEHA\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' on December every year under the Alumni Association.
